Task: Bringing the Chinese Innovation Ecosystem to European businesses

Situation
For Vodafone’s inaugural Elevation Digital Days virtual event, OMR the organizers contracted MCL for speaker acquisition. The event, which featured over 100 global speakers from notable academics like Scott Galloway to entrepreneurs like Sebastian Thrun, was missing an impressive speaker in a critical category - China.
Solution
We assessed potential keynote speakers from our China network based on Vodafone’s goals and objectives for the event and the event audience. After a rigorous search and many discussions with potential speakers, we selected Vincent Zhuang, a Partner at Quantum Logik Consulting and former Innovation Director at Ping-An and Consultant with Roland Berger. Vincent has spent years working closely with Chinese VC’s, startups and cities in China on their innovation activities. Vincent focused on the main factors that spur exponential innovation in China with vivid examples to bring the subject matter closer to the participants.
Result
The audience reaction was overwhelmingly positive with an engaging Q&A after the presentation. We also received very positive feedback from OMR and Vodafone regarding the keynote and are currently in discussions for future events featuring speakers from our network with expertise across a wide range of geographies.
